Beverley Henderson

Beverley Gladys Henderson, age 53, died on Monday April 8, 2019 at The Meadows in Swift Current, SK. Her older sister, Sheila & a co-worker/close friend, Joanne Jensen were by her side. Beverley was born in Regina on September 25, 1965. She was the 3rd of four children to Jack & Evelyn Henderson. At age 3, the family moved to Swift Current where she took all her schooling. She was involved in Brownies, Pathfinders & Girl Guides. Bev learned early in life how to earn a living by working for her Dad's janitorial business. She also worked along side her mother at A&W & later on, moved over to Canadian Tire. She also spent a few years at AM Delivery. Bev became a single Mom to Cody in 1987. In 1991 Bev & Cody moved to Bonnieville, AB & a few years later to Vermillion, AB. After spending 10 years up north, they moved back to Swift Current. In 2013, Bev started studying the Bible & attending the meetings at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Bev said she went because she found peace there. In March 2018, Bev found out she had cancer. She was working at Canadian Tire at the time, & had plans to return later that summer. Sadly her health was never good enough to return. She put up a brave fight. Always had a smile for everyone who came to visit her & a sense of humour for the stories that were told. A memorial service was held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on April 11, 2019,  with Mr. Bill Burgess officiating. Interment was at Mount Pleasant Burial Park.
Beverley was predeceased by a brother David in December 2016, & her Mother Evelyn in November 2017. Bev is survived by her son Cody (Denika Hamm) & 3 Granddaughters, Athena, Lily, & Chloe; also, by her sisters, Sheila (Robert) Stienley of Swift Current, Karen (Kelvin Letkeman) of Regina, & her Dad, Jack (Sheryl) Henderson of Lumsden, Sk. and  by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles & cousins.
