Barbara Sloman Obituary

Sloman: Barbara (Barb) Sloman, age 81, passed away January 28, 2019 at Clover House. At her request no formal service was held. Barb is survived by her husband Wes; son Garnet (Leanne) and their children Jenna and Ryley; daughter Sharie; sister Mary Goranson; brothers and sisters-in-law George Sloman, Arnold Wicks, Elsie Postey, Shirley Sloman and Kate Sloman. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Mary (Kiraly) Nagy; sisters Helen (Steve) Mazak, Elizabeth Wicks and Margaret (Glen) Hoover; brothers and sisters-in-law Robert Sloman, Evan Goranson, Wilbert (Cecilia) Sloman, Mildred (Harvey) Ballard, Donald Sloman and Nicholas Postey. Barb was born on October 31, 1937 in the Hume District. She attended school at Trossachs School and then attended Norman School in 1956. She married Wesley Sloman on April 20, 1962. Barb taught in various location prior to moving to Aneroid to farm and raise her family. Barb took an active role in farm life and enjoyed the life style. She also enjoyed watching her grandchildren's sporting activities, baking and cheering on the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Swift Current Broncos. Barb and Wes retired to Swift Current in May of 2004 and enjoyed their retirement time there. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her family and friends. In her memory, memorial donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre St, Regina, Sk. Warren's Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
