Alice Theresa (Robitaille) Dawson of Swift Current, SK, passed away at the age of 79 on August 10, 2019 at Cypress Regional Hospital. The Celebration of Life service was held at 2:00 August 16, 2019 at Lac Pelletier Park Hall with Rev Annette Taylor officiating. A private family internment was held at Neville cemetery. The honorary urn bearers were Alice's grandchildren. Alice was survived by daughters, Shelley(Claude) Briere, Deanna Dawson, Judy (Henry) Vanderleest; grand children, Natasha (Travis) Monk, Nathan Briere, Nicholas Briere, Rihana (Josh) Posehn, Nicole Vanderleest, Calvin Vanderleest; great grand children Dawson Monk and Aspen Posehn; and numerous four legged grand and great grand puppies and kittens; her sister Florence Stelfox and brother Noel(Lorna) Robitaille. Alice was predeceased by her husband Wayne, her parents Amedee and Marie Robitaille; her step-mother Cecile Robitaille; and sister Yvonne Brown. Alice and Wayne were married in 1959 and lived and farmed on the Dawson family farm near Neville, SK. In 2000 they moved to retire at Lac Pelletier. Alice and Wayne spent 33 consecutive winters at Roadhaven Resort in Arizona where she enjoyed golfing, music, doing crafts, painting and made many long-lasting friendships. In 2013, they moved to Swift Current and then to Riverview Village Estates in March of 2016. Alice was a member of the Eastern Star and UCW for many years. Alice will be remembered for her incredible gardens and flower gardens, her musical talent, her artistic and craft making ability. Alice enjoyed the outdoors, fishing at the lake, and always loved to cook and entertain. Alice was Wayne's right hand man while on the farm. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Cypress Regional Hospital and thank the management and staff of Riverview Estates for the love and care they showed our mom and grandmother. Special thanks to the residents of Riverview, many whom had become her dear and cherished friends over the past few years.
